Time for the second post in my little Chorus Day series. Songs that I sang in a choir at some point in my life.
Today’s song is Chili Con Carne, which was originally sung by The Real Group. This is one of the best recordings of this song I could find on YouTube by a choir. I sang this with the Chapel Hill Community Chorus’s Summer Chorus, 2008, as an Alto I. It was difficult, especially since we had so many people (way more people than the group in this recording), and not a ton of time to polish it. I think this song works better with a small group. Oh well, it was still fun to sing.
Also I swear, every single time I cook chili, I have to play this song while eating it! Might make you hungry….
