The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This kept being called the next “Gone Girl”. It was definitely a page-turner. I admit I didn’t guess who the killer was until closer to the end. I had wild theories of who it might’ve been. I feel like the characters and “big twist” in this book are more realistic than Gone Girl. However I felt a bit underwhelmed still. The ending dissolved into a typical “Lifetime Movie Ending”, with the revelation of the killer, a fight, and a death (I won’t say who dies). I can see this being an amazing Lifetime Movie.
