my 10 month old son sees the vacuum come out (it’s his daddy’s chore) and FREAKS out, tripping over himself to crawl to me and be cuddled while the machine roars.

Aww! I don’t blame him, the noise is pretty terrible. Waiting for the day when they invent quiet yet powerful vacuums.
